Only recently have I found out what I wanted to do with my life, and that is to have anything to do with graphical and artistic work. I have changed my mind countless times of what I want to become or even have some sort of experience in and as I have changed my mind a couple of times, I have had experience in a variety of different careers. From my secondary school, Bethnal Green Technology in East London, I studied all Art based subjects, Graphics Design, Art and Design and Resistant Materials. At the time I wanted to continue with Art and find my way in to Architecture as I found it very interesting and had a natural flow of it. I studied BTEC National Diploma in Art & Design at Haringey Sixth form College in North London, following the steps of Architecture. As time passed near the end of my second year, my once Architecture based work was becoming slightly Graphical. I already knew that I had a interest in Graphics so decided to change my mind and follow the path of a Graphic Designer. After the second year of doing my BTEC, I wanted to have a bit more information, skill and confidence of being a Graphics Designer before going to university. Therefor I thoughtfully decided to do a Level 4 Foundation course in Art & Design at BSIX in East London and further spread my knowledge in Graphics. Once starting this course I was influenced and brought out my shell and comfort to go out and experience an artists life by visiting many museums and events. Only during the end College while going to many open days for Universities, I was prepared with inspiration, fire and heart to start learning and developing more skill in Graphics at University.
I am incredibly interested and inspired by fantasy art, even though my work isn't really fantasy art but is very graphical which can relate. I have a very big passion of drawing dragons since I started to watch a show called 'Miami Inc'. There was this very artistic and brilliant artist called Chris Garver which like me has a passion to draw dragons in different styles. He is a tattoo artist and at one point in college, I was thoroughly thinking of being an apprentice in a tattoo parlor from the obsession of being very detailed in my drawings and to be a tattoo artist you have to be extremely detailed but before actually doing your design you have to be very skeptical about designing something to suit your clients needs which i respect and appreciate. I have accomplished that by creating a stenciled drawing of a dragon with special graphics pens. I was very pleased and happy for that and would happily get that as a first tattoo no matter how painful!
In University now I am doing as hard as I possibly can to achieve the most I can and prepare myself for the real world out there. I have to learn many different things even though I am skillful. My strong points are getting better as time progresses however, my weak points are dramatically improving as i develop more skills.
Once I graduate University I hoping to have perfected my artistic skills and talents on paper and computer.
